Sportplan rugby has played a large role in my team's love for the game!
Why donât teams set up a driving maul directly from a penalty, rather than risk losing a scrum or line out?
What is the current thinking regarding kickoff receiving alignment?
My fowards seem afraid to ruck and stand around the ruck while in the way of the scrum half trying to get the ball out to the backs. They also don't support the ball carrier while he is being tackled. Please help me with any suggestions!!!

I would like to have a GOAL planning session and not sure what type of goals should be set for players over the season. We have a long term goal to be promoted but not sure how to set up shorter goals and what to advise people if they can think of any!!!
Any view on counter attacking a full back entering the line against a man to man marking system?
Hi, I have an enquiry about the post lineout rules. A lineout jumper successfully catches the ball, returns to the ground and precceds to maul. The defending team has three options to put (1)leverage against with defending maul, to (2) attack the main front men of the maul but also I heard on this weekends commentary there is a (3)dragging down. When the lineout jumper is returning to the ground it seems the defending team can hold the jumper as long as no pressure is excerted and when they hit the floor the defending team can tackle him (drag him to the ground) stopping the maul. Is this right and if so are there further rules governing this that i cannot yet find? I have read the IRB 2009 laws but still i have no answer. Many Thanks

I have just started helping our head coach with under12's team. He wants to retire and has put me forward to be head coach next season. I am a little worried on how i should aproach training with the boys, going to a full 15 a side team on a full pitch. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.
I have started an under 10s team up, and I would say about 8 from the 13 children I have , did not play rugby until about 6 months ago. Of these players, there seems to be a lot of potential, as we are scoring tries against teams, that very rarely concede tries.the problem I got with them, is that we are very poor at organising our selves in defense when the opposition has the ball, which does result in us conceding quite a few tries. We have some very good tacklers in the team. Can anyone offer some ideas on how I can get them to organise themselves? Thanks . Chris.
Why do teams risk losing the ball at the line out or scrum when awarded a penalty close to the opposition try line. Could they not set up a driving maul directly from the penalty?ThanksAde Collingham
im currently injured and have been for the past 10\11 months and I will be for the next 7 months would be great to get some drills working on my stepping for when I get back to playing
I just finished my collegiate rugby career. I feel inspired I would love to coach rugby to women in countries that have a lower popularity of women's rugby. How do I get started?
Any ideas on how I would set up a demo to set up a 3,5 and 8 man scrum safely.
I am looking for a set up for receiving a kickoff in rugby. We are using the expoloded scrum method and marking their forwards on the kickoff now. But if the forwards move or are split we end up looking like the Keystone Cops trying to match. What is a prefered set up?
Please help! have been set the following task. Develop time to allow support players to arrive. Coach techniques, responsibilities and decision making of each of the first 3 players approaching your ball carrier.
Some of my U9s players, who are experiencing contact for their first season, are showing reticence in tackling - how do you coach or get through the fear factor/element?
Players keep spilling the ball in the tackle, any drills for protecting the ball? Have tried the usual falling drills and tackling drills but in games the ball keeps being spilled forward in contact.

World Rugby has reportedly conceded Aaron Smith's disallowed try in the World Cup final should have stood.
